Payments 💰
🇪🇺 Nuvei has joined the European Payments Initiative (EPI) which will see the Wero digital wallet integrated into ecommerce checkouts.
🇪🇺 Klarna reported a profitable Q1 2025 with revenue +15% and GMV +$25bn and now reaches 100 million active consumers but losses widen. It announced its also approaching $1m in revenue per employee.
🇬🇧 The UK unveiled its BNPL rules, which sees the sector fall under FCA scrutiny and requires affordability checks.
🌍 Capital One has completed its acquisition of Discover.
🌍 BNPL provider Affirm has partnered with travel platform Kayak in Canada.
